CAPS LIGHTING FX
feast your eyes we're over here maximizing straight maximizing the immersion stat in GLUMGRAYMORE's TREASURE call it like you see it there's lighting repeat lighting **FX**
HOW?
*snaps fingers* Math.atan2 & just a little bit of case bashing -- yeah.
do we put the walls in an array? you know we put the walls in an array -- but not just the walls. no, also, the wall _edges_ which is what i call the edges of the walls.
Once we have the edges of the walls in an array, we render BIG TRIANGLES aka BIG ARCS aka TRUNCATED PIZZA out from the edges of the walls. (edges are like "north edge" "south edge" & some corner ones that exist for somewhat technical reasons similar to the wall drawing trick we use WHICH IS ITSELF discussed elsewhere in another one of these posts -- find it if you want the TRUTH and/or dare)
doesn't this make the shadows overlap? why don't you do some tricky difficult math to figure out which wall edges are occluded or not?
here's the deal, kid. you can draw the shadows full black on another canvas, and then draw that canvas on top of everything with some .2 opacity. then it doesn't matter if the shadows overlap, because #000 + #000 = #000. just my .2 cents, ok? that way you can even put a RAdial Gradient behind the truncated pizza wedges & this way, the light deteriorates as it gets farther from the character. that's just like real light??? LIKE I SAID, we're dedicating ourselves to realizm.

what variety of individual do you take me as of course it does it when you attack animation
DOES IT DO IT WHEN YOU START BEFORE YOU'VE EVEN MOVED A STEP OR RIGHT AFTER YOU GO DOWN A LEVEL?
